Summer Seminars:

 

JUMP START HOMESCHOOLING SEMINAR – This free 1½ -hour seminar will discuss the legalities of homeschooling, how to choose curriculum, and how to get started and organized.  There will be a question and answer period.    NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.

HOW TO STUDY SMARTER, NOT HARDER! For Parents only- This four hour course is for parents only; no students may attend this session as it will be taught from a parent perspective.   The course will cover all of the material covered in the student version, plus parents will learn how to create a lesson plan.  Reservations required.

GETTING READY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SEMINAR- If you have a 7th grade or older student, then this class is for you.  During this informative 3 hour seminar, Joanne Juren will discuss many topics pertinent to the student just entering the high school years.  Topics include: goal setting; course guidelines from 7-12th grade; the 4-year Plan; the high school transcript; extra-curricular courses and activities; job co-op; testing for high school/college; scholarships; and many more topics of interest!  Each parent will create 4-year plan for his/her student(s).  There will be plenty of time for questions and answers!  With one paid adult, the student may attend for free.  Reservations required.  The GETTING READY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE book is now available at the HEP Bookstore for $29.95.
